When Miranda and Edward Gore Browne bought a 1930’s red-bricked rectory overlooking the South Downs, they fulfilled a dream turning it into a Georgian family home. If there was an award for the most dramatic house façade transformation it would surely go to Miranda and Edward Gore Browne. ‘We simply could not find a Georgian property within our budget, so we decided to create a look alike with the ingredients at hand, ’ says Miranda, well known by Great British Bake Off viewers for working her magic with culinary ingredients. What they may not know is the couple’s talent for doing up houses, which she and her husband Edward have honed over the years. ‘This is the fourth house we have done up together, ’ Miranda explains. ‘With every home we have gained that much more confidence.'
